Coins, fees and refunds
The market accepts Bitcoin and Monero for all transactions. You need to distinguish between two different costs involved in every purchase. One is the fixed commission charged by the platform itself. The other is the network fee, which fluctuates based on traffic.
Understanding these two components prevents surprise deductions. The platform fee stays constant regardless of volume. Network fees, however, change constantly. Knowing how they interact helps you plan deposits effectively without losing significant value to unnecessary overhead.
What the network fee costs you
Network fees depend on blockchain congestion, measured in cost per byte, not order size. A small order and a large one might carry identical fees if sent at the same time. During peak hours, the cost per byte spikes dramatically. A deposit of five dollars could see nearly all of it consumed by the miner fee.
Combine small purchases into single transfers to save on overhead. Alternatively, wait for quiet network windows when fees drop significantly. Ignoring this dynamic means paying extra for nothing. Check current fee rates before sending large sums to avoid unnecessary loss.
How long a refund takes
Refunds return to the original address in the same coin used for the purchase. This happens only after a dispute case is officially closed. Closing a case takes days because an admin must read all provided evidence carefully. It is not an automatic instant reversal.
The refund transaction carries its own separate network fee. This means the amount you receive back might be slightly less than the original purchase price. Small refunds can shrink significantly due to these outgoing costs. Factor this potential reduction into your initial budgeting to avoid minor financial surprises.
The one rule that settles most
Keep the transaction hash next to your internal order number. When a dispute arises, having both lines allows the admin to match your payment to the order in seconds. A missing hash turns a routine verification into a tedious search. Save this string immediately after sending your coins.
